Research Interests:
My research interests are focused on electrochemistry, novel sensor materials, and especially the visualisation of small-scale electrochemical processes at micro-interfaces. My focus is on the detailed characterisation of new nanostructures by SEM, TEM, and 3D FIB/SEM, as well as electrochemical performances detected amongst other methods by SECM.
During my PhD, I got into contact with electrochemistry at the liquid/liquid interface within nanoporous arrays for electrochemical sensor applications.

Following this motto, I continued the study of the liquid/liquid interface as a postdoc in Limerick, working on synthesising hybrid nanomaterials. As a new member of the team, I will work on paper-based sensors combining the liquid/liquid interface with microfluidic devices.
