e-SPARK summer school – third edition

Last week we had the pleasure of hosting 25 young electrochemist at IChF for the third edition of the e-SPARK summer school. The school is the brainchild of Emilia, and she has written a long, nice post about it on her group webpage, so please go and read it there.

Several members of the group were teaching during the school – which is a lot of fun, but also a lot of work. Martin was responsible for the voltammetry part of the school. He was assisted by Julia, who was generally keeping things in order and helping the students with their pulse voltammetry. Bren was taking care of the non-aqueous electrochemistry experiments and challenged them to reach as many reduction peaks as possible using the Buckminsterfullerene C60 as a redox molecule. Meen was showing everyone how to make their own screen-printed electrodes. Magda took over the voltammetry for one day when Martin was stuck in a meeting.
